Role Summary:
• Uphold the quality policies that our company has created and oversee the product inspection process to ensure that all products meet industry & customer expectations.
• Provide support on quality inspection on elastomers, engineering plastics & metallic products and ensure all products are inspected thoroughly to meet the company’s and customer’s expectations.
Job Description
• Perform regular and timely quality inspections, including dimensions & hardness as applicable on all incoming materials, engineering plastics, metallic and elastomers products.
• Perform documentation review of incoming materials, engineering plastics, metallic, and elastomers products.
• Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations and ensure proper part segregation.
• Prepare and support incoming compound test for review & approval.
• Ensure that the requirements of the documented quality system are adhered to, and work produced complies with drawing and specifications.
• Perform production 1st piece inspection for CNC plastics, CNC metallic, and elastomers products as required in a timely manner and complete inspection records.
• Perform in-process inspection for CNC plastics, CNC metallic, and elastomers products as required in a timely manner and complete inspection records.
• Perform final inspection for CNC plastics, CNC metallic, and elastomers products as required in a timely manner and complete inspection reports in M3.
• Perform outgoing inspection for CNC plastics, CNC metallic, and elastomers products as required in a timely manner and complete inspection reports based on customer requirements.
• Perform outgoing inspection for traded products as required in a timely manner and complete inspection reports based on customer requirements.
• Support engineering for first article (FA) inspection of CNC plastics, CNC metallic, and elastomers products, including inspection report creation and submission.
• Support engineering for inspection with regards to day-to-day quality defects troubleshooting.
• Raise internal deviation report (IDR) for daily inspection fallout and follow up with engineering's disposition to close out the actions required in the IDR.
• Verify the content of manufacturing orders against customer requirements (e.g., drawings, BoMs).
• Close out QC final inspection operations in manufacturing orders in the M3 system and report inspection results for accepted and rejected quantities with their respective quality defect reasons.
• Ensure that traceability is maintained throughout, actively follow up on in-house traceability/material traceability matters with relevant personnel, and follow up with upstream traceability if it is not made available.
• Ensure all measuring, monitoring, and testing equipment are in working condition and within the calibration period before usage.
• For Senior Quality Inspector: Coach quality inspectors, work with minimal supervision, and assist the Quality Specialist/Senior Quality Engineer in scheduling daily quality inspections required for delivery.
• For Senior Quality Inspector: Perform inspections on rubber, plastic, metal & bonded seals products.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Quality Leader/Senior Quality Engineer.
Requirement:
• Min. Nitec in any field or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of working experience in a QA/QC/manufacturing environment.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas and rubber manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in dimensional and hardness inspections in the Oil & Gas Industry.
• Ability to read part drawings and usage of measuring equipment are added advantages.
• Computer literacy and competency.
