Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Infra Tech Support Practitioner to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing ongoing technical support and maintenance for both production and development systems, as well as software products. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our infrastructure, both remotely and onsite, across a variety of platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
Provide L1 and L2 support, troubleshooting technical issues, and offering solutions for both hardware and software.
System Maintenance:
Perform regular maintenance of systems, ensuring all operating systems, databases, and software are up to date.
Infrastructure Management:
Implement and configure services at the operating system level across server and network areas, including RHEL systems and container technologies like OpenShift.
Performance Optimization:
Conduct system audits, identify areas for improvement, and develop innovative solutions to enhance system performance and reliability.
Security Management:
Review and remediate security vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with IT security policies.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate operational and configuration documentation.
Disaster Recovery:
Perform disaster recovery operations as required to ensure business continuity.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies and participate actively in team discussions.
User Support:
Provide training and support to end-users, enhancing their understanding of the systems in use.
Mandatory Skills:
· Expertise in RHEL systems implementation, administration, and troubleshooting.
· Proficiency in administering and troubleshooting container technologies (e.g., OpenShift).
· Ability to maintain up-to-date operational and configuration documentation.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to system maintenance and troubleshooting.
· Knowledge of IT security policies and the ability to administer systems accordingly.
· Familiarity with automation and database management (advantageous).
· Ability to work independently as a self-starter while being comfortable in a team environment.
· Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technologies using available resources.
