My client, a growing and young IT solution company is currently seeking for a Financial Controller


Job Description: Group Financial Controller

Overview:

As the Group Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the financial and accounting operations of our organization. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, implementing financial strategies, and providing insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making at the executive level. Your responsibilities encompass not only maintaining accurate financial records and implementing robust financial strategies but also fostering a culture of excellence within the finance team and nurturing strong relationships with stakeholders, including investors and shareholders. Your expertise will ensure compliance with regulatory standards and optimize financial performance across all departments and subsidiaries within the group.


Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Financial Reporting and Accounting:

1.Lead and oversee the group’s financial and accounting operations

2.Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the group.

3.

Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

4.Provide timely and insightful analysis of financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

5.Ensure achievement of corporate goals and objectives on financial, cost, margins with KPIs on Revenue, EBITDA, PBT, PAT at a minimum

6.Ensure effective and efficient management of the Treasury function

Budgeting and Forecasting:

1.Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to develop accurate and achievable financial plans.

2.Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Financial Strategy and Planning:

1.Develop and implement financial strategies to support the group’s growth objectives.

2.Assess financial risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.

3.Optimize capital structure, liquidity, and cash flow management to support operational needs and strategic initiatives.

Internal Controls and Compliance:

1.Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

2.Coordinate internal and external audits, addressing findings and implementing recommendations to strengthen controls and processes.

Finance Transformation:

1.Spearhead the finance transformation initiative, driving strategic changes in financial processes, systems, and methodologies to optimize efficiency, enhance controls, and support the organization's growth objectives.

2.(As necessary) Support the evaluation, selection, and implementation of an ERP system tailored to the organization's needs, working closely with cross-functional teams and external consultants to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business requirements.

3.Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation, leveraging the capabilities of the ERP system to streamline workflows and enhance reporting capabilities.

4.Drive change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems, providing guidance, training, and support to finance and operational teams throughout the transformation journey.

5.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of finance transformation initiatives, tracking key performance indicators and adjusting as necessary to achieve desired outcomes and ROI.

Stakeholder Management:

1.Serve as a key financial advisor to senior management, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

2.Work closely and effectively with subsidiary finance heads to enable seamless consolidation, accurate reporting, and timely issue resolution.

3.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and operational efficiency initiatives.

4.Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

Team Leadership and Development:

1.Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.

2.Provide guidance and support to develop the skills and capabilities of team members, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Required qualifications and skills:

•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Chartered Accountant certification such as CPA, ICAEW, or ACCA preferred.

•Proven experience (3-5 years) in a senior financial leadership role.

•In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.

•Experience with creating financial statements, general ledger functions and the month/quarterly/year-end close process.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and manage stakeholders at all levels.

•Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management, strategic thinking, and decision-making.

•Experience in M&A, finance transformation and establishing financial close process will be a plus

•Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

•Proficiency in data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to transform complex financial data into actionable insights and facilitate decision-making processes will be a plus
