We are looking for an experienced Container Depot Manager to oversee our container services. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the depot, ensuring efficient handling, storage, maintenance of containers and efficient space utilization. Your leadership will be key to maintaining safety standards and improving processes to meet customer needs. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in logistics and/ or container services, along with excellent organisational skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing day to day activities.
- Training and supervising new employees, tracking and measuring staff performance
- Ensures safe working environment is established and maintained
- Monitors and reports daily operation staff attendance.
- Work closely with HR and Operations Manager to see that the yard is fully staffed.
- Training and supervising new employees, tracking and measuring staff performance
- Ensures all department employees receive timely safety and operational training and that the appropriate documents (signed acknowledgement forms) are prepared.
- Attends to customers’ enquiries and adopt a proactive approach to minimize complaints
- Responsible for staff discipline to upkeep company’s service level.
- Recruit, motivate and train the Operations team to push up the service quality.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager
REQUIREMENTS
- Preferably with a Diploma or GCE “O” Level qualification
- Strongly preferred with at least 5 years’ experience in Logistics\Transportation industry
- Fast learner, high degree of confidence and able to evaluate an issue from a broad perspectives and assuming lead roles
