Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chinese Roasted Meat Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in preparing traditional Chinese roasted meats, such as Char Siu, Roast Pork, and Peking Duck. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating delicious and authentic dishes that showcase their mastery of Chinese roasting techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook traditional Chinese roasted meats to perfection
- Develop and implement new recipes and menu ideas
- Manage and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff
- Order and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety
- Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a Chinese Roasted Meat Chef
- Expertise in traditional Chinese roasting techniques and recipes
- Strong knife skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal culinary training or apprenticeship
- Experience working in a high-end Chinese restaurant
- Familiarity with local food safety regulations and standards
