Major Responsibilities
- Provide L2 support for banking application software. In the event of errors detected by the bank's operations department (L1 support), you will collaborate with the outsourcing vendor, the bank IT department, and, if necessary, the head office counterpart, working overtime as required after business hours (including late nights/early mornings), weekends, and national holidays to identify and implement recovery solutions.
- Take leadership in projects initiated by the bank, such as user requested change requests or addressing End of Life issues concerning operating systems, database management software, and hardware.
- Oversee team members, multiple vendors, and service providers to ensure all tasks are completed according to plan.
- Act as supervisor for our company’s engineers, responsible for their workforce management, personnel assessments, and providing support and oversight for their projects and tasks.
- Manage projects by resolving issues, overseeing vendors and resources, adhering to schedules, and preparing reports for management, the bank, and the head office as needed for approval.
- Coordinate all processes to facilitate smooth progress for the bank, developers and relevant teams at the head office and vendors
- Perform any other adhoc tasks as assigned.hoc tasks as assigned.
Requirements
1) Years of Experience:
At least 3 years of working experience as an application software engineer in the banking IT sector
At least 1 year of working experience as a manager.
2) Education: University / Polytechnic University / Polytechnic
3) Other Requirements / Skills:
We are seeking an IT application engineer with the following experience, knowledge
- Working experience as an application development engineer in the banking IT sector.
- Development experience with bank settlement applications (SWIFT, GIRO, FAST,
- Knowledge and experience in Programming Languages (Java, Shell, etc.), RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.), and OS (Windows, Linux).(Oracle, SQL Server, etc.), and OS (Windows, Linux).
- Knowledge and experience in HULFT, MQ, SFTP, VMware technology, or network administration
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills The ability to effectively interact across all levels, including the bank IT department bank user departments, outsourcing vendors, and members of the head office, is essential for success in this role
