JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Planning
- Review new order's design customisation.
- Review work order, drawings material specification requirements for every order.
Technical Guidance & Problem Solving
- Provide technical direction and support to the engineering team.
- Assign part numbers for all new products.
- Managing engineering documents and filings.
- Review and approve design documents (engineering drawings, datasheet, BOM, assembly manual, redress prodedure), code and other technical deliverables.
- Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges.
Project Management
- Communicate effectively with clients, top management and other departments.
- Gather and incorporate client requirements into project planning and execution.
- Ensure alignment of engineering activities with business goals and client needs.
Regular Reporting
- Every week report the engineering team job schedule and completion details to the top management.
- Ensure transparency in communication regarding project risks, challenges and successes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with other departments such as operation, purchasing and logistics.
- Ensure effective communication and co-ordination between departments.
Documentation
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and technical specifications in the share drive.
- Project documents such as client requirement, inputs, counter proposal, outputs and supporting documentation.
Risk Management
- Identify potential project risks and develop solution strategies.
- Implement risk management practices to minimise project uncertainties.
QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENT
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Good knowledge in designing software (preferably Solidworks).
- Proficiency in designing, developing and testing engineering solutions or products.
- Knowledge of quality control and assurance processes to ensure that the output meets the required standards.
