Operations Executive/Manager

Job Summary:

To develop, lead and manage all Operations & commercial activities in the Singapore Sales Office

Responsible for implementing the commercial strategy for the business and ensuring that all staff achieve their targets and objectives. The aim of the position is to plan, execute and maintain both new and existing revenue generating strategies to allow the business to meet its operational objectives.

Reports to the HES BU Manager - APAC.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Supervise the day-to-day operation of the Customer Service Office.

2. Manage workloads, provide support and guidance to the Customer Service team.

3. Provide first class support to Customers, the External Sales team and the International Sales Office.

4. Ensure Quotations/Orders are processed accurately in line with appropriate contract terms and conditions. Ensure compliance with Project Pricing guidelines.

5. Liaise with External Sales on Customer Quotation and Orders.

6. Manage the day-to-day activities of the sales & offer teams.

7. Ensure Health and Safety Standards are compliant with Hubbell policy and Singapore Law.

8. Assist in the forecasting of Orders for the Sales Manager APAC

9. Ensure all Staff receive adequate and consistent training in Products and processes

10. Manage the recruitment of Internal Office functional departments

11. Manage the development of all staff inclusive of Pay for Performance

Key Performance Indicators:

· Revenue Growth

· Customer Service Feedback on KPIs – OTD/Order and Quote times

· Key Account and Market share Growth

· Employee Feedback (Elevate)

· Health and Safety Metrics

Direct Reports:

· Sales & Offer Teams

Core Competency Requirements:

· Technical knowledge of selling various types of electrical equipment within the harsh, oil & gas sectors.

· An influential character, with strong communication and people development skills.

· Demonstrates excellent commercial acumen, creativity and an ability to plan and implement highly effective, revenue generating commercial strategies.

· Demonstrates sound financial management skills.

· ERP and various production planning skills is preferred

· Good knowledge of SAP MM, ME, ML, VL, T-codes & workflow

· Experience in leading a team that can manage the tender processes and commercial negotiations.

· Strong analytical skills reflecting an ability to manipulate and interpret data, to provide meaningful and useful analysis for decision making purposes.

· Excellent attention to detail with the ability to deliver a clear and accurate presentation of findings.

· Able to work in a fast paced and rapidly evolving environment.

· Able to work under pressure, efficiently manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

· Solid problem solving, decision making and analytical capabilities.

· Customer focused, with effective relationship management skills and able to achieve sales objectives.

· Ability to prioritize, demonstrating first class organization skills and time management.

· External Sales experience will be preferred

· Have a proven track record of identifying the capability needs of an organization and of developing individuals and teams to match those requirements.

· Reliable, positive, with a hands-on approach and a ‘can do’ attitude.

Required Qualifications:

· Strong leader, with at least 5 years’ experience of successfully leading and managing diverse teams, ideally in a sales office or similar

Preferred Skills:

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communications skills, with excellent interpersonal skills.

Computer Skills: Must have strong Microsoft Office, e-mail and other PC application skills.

Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
