A well-established marine company located in Tuas is seeking Safety Officer on permanent position.

Responsibilities
- Ensure that safety standards are maintained through monitoring of applicable legal legislations WSH Act, EPMA Act, PPS Act, legal requirements, compliance obligations and other requirements
- Assist in the planning and implementation as directed by HSE Manager on safety and health programmes and promotional activities (e.g. inspections, campaigns and competitions) to improve safety and health awareness.
- Establish and maintain a system for incident reporting, investigation and analysis as stipulated in CSM 6.0 of the HSE manual.
- Investigate and report all reportable accidents: internally to relevant persons, and externally to the relevant authorities via Human Resource representatives for I-reporting purposes.
- Deploy Safety personnel to monitor and maintain safety and health, prevent and fight fires, respond to accidents and control environmental pollution.
- Prepare the project Site Safety Management Plan (SSMP) where applicable
- The workplace safety and health officer shall take over the duties in the absence of the HSE Manager and HSE Superintendent.
- Communicate relative or applicable company OHSE practices or standards to external interested parties and (or) respond to distinguished requisitions on HSE Manager confirmation.
- Is responsible in ensuring that the investigation of an incident, accident and near miss are carried out and shall ensure that –A preliminary investigation report and register preventive actions to Management of Change is provided when required, and
Emergency Response Programme is carried out.
