Your role:
- The Business Development Manager (BDM) is critical to the success of our Asia-Pacific Industrial Adhesives Business Unit (BU)
- Drive sales and influence others to drive the Business Unit through strategic planning, targeted upskilling, and collaboration
- Set and execute the strategy in alignment with the General Manufacturing (GM) business direction team
- Lead, develop, and support regional and global strategies and development plans within key strategic market segments in line with business strategy and ensuring execution, for near, mid and long term
- Build strong customer relationships with key, industry leaders and identify and develop new customers within those industries
- Think critically to identify, define, and research market trends, competitive activity, and future development opportunities for the business
- Recognize new applications, NPIs and innovation opportunities in identified market segments and target customers to develop sales tools, processes, solutions
- Develop and foster internal relationships with strategic collaboration across multiple functional areas: Regional Leaders, Marketing, Sales, Key Account Management, Product Managers, Application Engineers, Innovation Managers, and relevant stakeholders on projects or initiatives
Your skills:
- Degree in Business / Marketing / Engineering or equivalent. MBA is an added advantage
- At least 5 years of experience in Sales and Marketing, Engineering, or Business development field
- Proven sales experience selling through B2B Industrial Sales
- Excellent project management, time management and communication skills
- Able to prioritize, organize, and execute deliverables
- Excellent communication, questioning, and presentation skills
- Able to build strong relationships, lead, and influence others to accomplish objective
- Skilled with change management, negotiation, and ability to handle volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA)
- Proficient computer and digital skills (Microsoft Office, CRMs, research platforms)
- Experience in the Chemical industry is an advantage
- Experience in Manufacturing industry is an advantage
