Technical Expert - Engineering Maintenance
- Provide technical expertise for maintenance of various plant equipment’s and systems essential for manufacturing processes to achieve maximum plant availability.
- Involves maintaining and optimizing equipment and facilities in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Engineering Practices and EHS requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, Implement, Plan and execute predictive/preventive maintenance program for equipment’s and systems to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance of manufacturing equipment’s
- Conduct diagnosis and troubleshooting of equipment failures to determine the root cause promptly to increase the machine uptime and ensuring continuous operation
- Promptly investigate equipment-related deviations and safety issues by using appropriate problem-solving tools and provide efficient preventive and corrective measures
- Identify and Manage inventory of spare parts for mechanical equipment, always ensuring availability for maintenance or repairs
- Initiate change management, provide impact assessments and carrying out field equipment modifications. This includes managing project schedules, resource plans, coordinating with vendors and handling material management
- Perform testing, commissioning and qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ) activities as applicable
- Identify opportunities to enhance energy efficiency in equipment’s and facilities to support sustainable practices
- Perform or participate in HAZOP/Risk assessment to actively identify and implement mitigation actions for engineering and maintenance activities
- Participate in regulatory audits and ensure compliance with regulations and standards in engineering and maintenance areas
- Adhere to regulatory standards by diligently maintaining precise documentation of maintenance activities, including thorough records of repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance tasks
- Create Standard operating procedures and Provide training to personnel on handling of equipment’s and performing Maintenance tasks
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Chemical or relevant fields
- More than 5 years of experience with excellent mechanical discipline knowledge together with hands-on working experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing
- GMP expertise and good understanding of working in regulated environment
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining highly automated equipment’s and systems
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities effectively and work at the start-up environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate in dynamic, cross functional matrix environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and preferably with good proven knowledge in lean sigma methodology
