Job Title: Chemical Engineer (Wastewater Treatment)

Responsibilities:
- Study and review equipment and design treatment processes for wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs). Ensure water quality compliance for individual WWTPs.
- Assist in maintaining plant safety and equipment integrity. Ensure all equipment operates with minimal downtime and undergoes regular servicing.
- Ensure that all designated equipment calibrations and inspections are current.
- Collaborate with the Process Safety Management (PSM) team and laboratory department on waste flow and treatment methods.
- Promote Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) activities among operators.
- Contribute to the optimization of treatment operations, manpower allocation, and continuous improvement of WWTP processes.
- Ensure compliance of treated wastewater with sewer discharge limits.
- Adhere to all safety requirements within the plant, including safe work practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a water treatment plant or related field.
