Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality IB curriculum lessons in Math, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology for students at both the Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL).
- Design engaging lesson plans that align with the IB philosophy, focusing on inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and real-world applications.
- Assess students' academic progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Prepare students for internal assessments and IB exams, offering guidance and support throughout the process.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary learning opportunities across subjects.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and continuous learning opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and the school community to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or a related field.
- Teaching certification and/or IB certification is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) is preferred.
- Proven experience teaching Math, Physics, and Chemistry within the IB framework.
- Strong understanding of IB curriculum, assessment criteria, and teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- A passion for teaching and inspiring students to achieve their full potential.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with differentiated instruction and adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
- Familiarity with digital learning tools and resources to enhance classroom instruction.
- Ability to foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
