1. Job Summary
As the Finance and Admin Executive at New Hope Community Services, you will play a vital role in driving our mission to bring change into the lives of the displaced and disadvantaged in our community. This position is essential in ensuring the effective allocation and utilisation of financial resources for our programmes, thereby maximising our impact on the lives of our residents / clients. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial planning, budget management, and financial reporting for programme-specific initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives. The Finance and Admin Executive works collaboratively with our dedicated cross-functional teams, community partners, and stakeholders, to be a Beacon of New Hope to the displaced and disadvantaged in our community.
2. Key Responsibilities
Finance and Administrative
- Ensure collection of programme / shelter fees by the first week of the month.
- Support the collection of statistics for monitoring and evaluation of activities and programmes of the programme.
- Support the implementation of information / data management system for effective collection and maintenance of client and operational data.
- Verify statistical collation and review information management system.
- Process payment to Housing and Development Board (HDB) and vendors.
- Preparation of monthly financial report to Management and HDB in an accurate manner.
- Banking and petty cash float duties.
- Perform reconciliation of receipts and payments relating to the programme.
- Provide administrative and operational support in overall programme operations. Ensure smooth running of operations and oversee daily operational issues and statistical collection.
- Support in the Front Desk duties.
Stakeholder Management
- Support in community and corporate engagement activities / events for community organisations.
Others
- Any other related duties in New Hope CS as assigned by the Reporting Officer.

- Reports to Programme Lead and Director of Finance and Corporate Services
4. Competency Requirements
Core Competencies
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective communication with residents, team, community partners, and stakeholders.
- Leadership: Excellent team player with strong leadership and responsibility skills.
- Adaptability: Strong team player who is resourceful, adaptable, and able to perform multitasks under a given timeline.
- Collaboration: Willing to work with the homeless and destitute. Able to handle shelter residents politely yet firmly.
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently.
Technical Competencies
- Proficiency in IT Systems and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Education and Experience:
- Minimum Degree or Diploma in relevant disciplines
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience in similar sectors
- Relevant finance experience in the Social Service sector would be an advantage.
