We’re looking for a highly skilled marketing director to help us promote our timber & timber related items and identify what consumers want so we can create more to meet their needs. The ideal candidate will have extensive marketing experience and comprehensive knowledge of timber industry. This candidate must be able to lead a team of product developer, quality control team and account managers and interact with clients on a regular basis to know the clients requirements. The role also requires a deep understanding of what market trend & as well as a drive to deliver solutions that make a difference.
Objectives of this role
- Collaborate with suppliers team to understand market development shipment update uncover insights for market updates and products strategies for the clients & suppliers.
- Oversea exhibition to meet overseas clients & their requirements to development business. For the exhibition and the trade shows need to attend regularly for market development
- Identify regular clients & clients who are not ordering order for more than 6 months & follow up with them regularly for business developments
- Understand key suppliers and make long terms contract for regularly supply & quality products
Responsibilities
- Lead development of marketing strategy by working closely with clients, quality control teams to create effective plans focused on growing the audience for our products and services
- Spearhead the execution of marketing campaigns, including test and control group segmentation, testing, tracking, results reporting, analyses, and recommendations
- Manage conception, development, and implementation of marketing plans and strategy, product concepts, and promotional programs to drive customer interest.
- Conduct meetings regularly with suppliers to review pipeline, resolve challenges, and brainstorm possible solutions, and provide training to ensure quality products & timely shipments
- Attend conventions, conferences, and trade shows, preparing engaging displays and collateral as needed, and provide post-event reports and analysis
Required skills and qualifications
- Successful track record in senior marketing role and campaign creation
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Experience in digital, content marketing, and social media marketing
- Proven ability to plan and manage budgets
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Timber marketing, advertising, or communications
- Proficiency with HTML, content management systems, and design software
- Established roster of media and PR contacts
Desire to grow professionally through ongoing education
