Your Role at Intuitive:
We are seeking a highly adaptable videographer - someone who excels in a variety of roles and is comfortable taking on different responsibilities on set. In this role, you’ll be expected to switch seamlessly between tasks, from capturing footage to handling lighting and audio. Your ability to adapt and contribute across multiple areas of production is essential. If you thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy being involved in all aspects of production, this role is for you.
- Visual Conceptualization: Collaborate closely with directors and producers to interpret and enhance the creative vision for each project, developing the visual style, including lighting, color palette, camera angles, and shot composition.
- Camera Operation and Setup: Select and operate a variety of cameras and lenses, determining the best camera positions, movements, and framing for each shot to capture the story effectively.
- Lighting and Audio Mastery: Take charge of lighting setups that complement the mood and atmosphere of each scene. Handle lighting equipment with ease, selecting the right lights, filters, and modifiers. Assist in capturing high-quality audio to ensure a polished final product.
- On-Set Flexibility: Be ready to jump into any role necessary on set, whether it’s adjusting lights, handling audio, or stepping in to assist with other technical aspects. Your ability to multitask and adapt quickly is essential.
- Technical Expertise: Manage and maintain in-house camera, lighting, and audio equipment, ensuring everything is ready to go for each shoot. Source additional gear as needed, keeping up with the latest advancements in filmmaking technology.
- Post-Production Collaboration: Collaborate with editors and colorists during post-production to ensure the footage reflects the intended visual style and narrative.
- Creative Problem-Solving: Suggest innovative approaches and techniques that enhance the storytelling process, constantly experimenting with new ideas to push the creative envelope.
- System Development: Contribute to refining and improving production systems and best practices to keep the team efficient and effective.
Who we are looking for:
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a versatile videographer with a portfolio showcasing a wide range of projects, including events, profile interviews, and corporate videos.
- Versatility: A strong sense of aesthetics, with the ability to handle various roles on set, from camera operation to lighting and audio. Experience in branding and commercial work is a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: Adept with a wide array of camera and lighting systems, including DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, gimbals, and audio equipment.
- Communication: Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written, are a must. Proficiency in another local language is an advantage.
- Agility: Ability to work independently on smaller shoots and efficiently lead larger sets with camera and tech freelancers.
- Problem-Solving: Comfortable navigating ambiguity, able to pivot quickly to solve problems on set, and ensure all essential details are addressed.
