Job Description

• The role is a cross between a technical product manager and a scrum master role. The weightage between product and scrum master role will vary depending on the product lifecycle.

• Own platform products end-to-end, driving product discussions (e.g. vision, goals, tenets, roadmap) across teams. Develop a product vision, growth strategy and OKRs (Objectives and Key Results).

• Define product strategy and help prioritize the roadmap for the platform services and overall platform.

• Lead and perform daily product management activities including writing product specs and requirements, as well as crafting high-level technical and user experience flows. Lead and manage assigned suite of products and initiatives.

• Partner with various business units to understand their business and user needs and align platform delivery milestones and dependencies.

• Effectively support the product design, engineering, and QA teams throughout sprint cycles by proactively removing roadblocks and prioritizing work items based on established outcomes and business objectives.

• Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, and perform scrum master duties when required.

• Provide technical expertise and guidance by diagnosing root issues and offer guidance for solutions. Liaise with vendors for implementation of enhancements and track prompt resolution of product issues.

• Build and manage relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders, including product managers, product marketing, operations, sales, commerce, external vendors, and executives. Serve as a liaison between the development team and external stakeholders and be a scrum master for the team when required.

• Review frequent application builds to ensure on-time delivery and overall product quality. Manage the overall delivery of technology products. Anticipate any potential issues that might impact the product. Track and report product status to various steering committees.

• Working knowledge of developing QA test plans and strategies for data/analytics.

• Attention to detail paired with a passion for delivering the best user experience possible.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years in digital product development for core platform and internal tooling with a proven track-record of successful launches.
  • Experienced in communicating to senior-level executives (written and in-person); able to adapt communication style across audiences and stakeholder groups.
  • Self-starter who is energetic & enthusiastic, confident, adaptable & customer oriented.
  • Experience producing wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, and user interaction diagrams.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies such as scrum or Kanban. Advocate for Agile best practices and help scale Agile methodologies across teams.
  • Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a cross-functional team while remaining detail-oriented as well as effectively influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders without direct ownership.
  • Technical competence and ability to adapt to modern technologies and lead teams through technology changes.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complex technical topics for non tech audience as well as communicate strategy to a technical audience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders of developers, business, etc.
  • Educational Background Required: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with emerging technologies and platform integrations. Experience in Adobe Commerce is a plus.
  • Knowledge of release and regression testing methodologies.
  • Agile/Scrum experience and familiarity with JIRA and Confluence or similar tool sets.
  • Knowledge and some working experience with Azure and AWS cloud products.
  • Experience in integration architecture, java, and CI/CD.
  • Experience with any of the following platforms is beneficial: E-commerce, Payments, Drop shipping, Online shopping, etc.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and enthusiasm toward data-driven digital implementation.
