On behalf of our hiring client who is in the equipment engineering space, we are looking for a suitable candidate to join them as Procurement cum Shipping Executive
Responsible for driving procurement activities and optimizing supply chain efficiency, this role is crucial to successfully executing the company's projects.
- Strategic Sourcing: Conduct independent negotiations to secure optimal pricing, terms, and delivery timelines for mechanical, and electrical equipment, spare parts, and other project components.
- Supplier Management: Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with project teams to align procurement activities with project goals and deadlines, proactively addressing potential supply chain challenges.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Contribute to overall supply chain efficiency by identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing process improvements.
- Administrative Support: Provide essential administrative support, including timesheet management and month-end closing procedures.
Requirements:
- Diploma in supply chain/logistics
- Experience with Bill of Lading (BOL) and shipping-related documents is advantageous
- Able to work independently and as a team
This role is a contract role with the possibility of converting to permanent. All benefits provided will be the same as permanent employees.
