Head of Project Management Office, A*STAR Skin Research Office
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Project Management Office (PMO) to lead our Project Management Office at A*STAR Skin Research Labs. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of a portfolio of strategic academic and industry projects. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong background in project management, strategic planning, and team leadership.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project managers and team members in A*SRL.
- Establish project lifecycle management procedures and best practices to ensure project teams maintain the discipline needed to successfully complete their projects.
- Develop and direct project management operations, strategic planning, and specific objectives to meet A*SRL and A*STAR’s goals.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Monitor, review, and analyze metrics to identify gaps for operational improvements.
- Coordinate cross-functional solutions to address any issues impeding project delivery.
- Build relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders to leverage available resources and capabilities to achieve organizational goals.
- Prepare and present regular reports on project status, progress, and outcomes to senior management, and handle other management tasks as required.
Job Requirements:
- PhD degree in life science, cell biology, or a related field.
- At least more than 10 years of relevant project management experience in handling large research or industry projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex, multidisciplinary projects and teams from inception to completion. Familarity with clinical trials will be a plus.
- Knowledge and competence in grant management, industry engagement, and intellectual property.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques with relevant certifications.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to foster an environment of trust and integrity among team members, and to rally the team towards a common goal and purpose.
