The Senior Executive of Procurement will manage the procurement process, including supplier identification, evaluation, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management. The role requires ensuring compliance with technical specifications and quality standards while collaborating with various teams to meet project requirements. Additionally, the Senior Executive will analyze market trends to optimize costs, mitigate risks, and lead continuous improvement initiatives in procurement.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers to meet the company's procurement needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while identifying and onboarding new suppliers to expand the supply base.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews to ensure adherence to quality, delivery, and cost expectations.
- Negotiate favourable terms and conditions with suppliers to secure optimal value for the organization.
- Manage contract renewals and amendments to reflect evolving business needs and market conditions.
- Prepare and manage purchase orders, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and company policies.
- Work closely with the Group's Middle East & Africa spare parts team to prepare intercompany spare part sales quotations aligned with project requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to assess and fulfil material and parts requirements.
- Coordinate with Logistics and Warehouse Departments to ensure smooth import and export arrangements for cargo.
- Analyze market trends to optimize procurement costs and mitigate risks in the supply chain.
- Monitor supplier performance metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives within procurement processes.
- Lead initiatives aimed at improving procurement processes and supplier performance.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on cost reduction, quality enhancement, and process efficiency.
- Other duties and assignments instructed by the superior.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- A technical background in mechanical and electrical engineering is preferred.
- 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a similar role within a relevant industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of market trends and risk management strategies in procurement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Dynamics 365.
