Project Description:Bank is looking for the Project Management Consultant to support Murex upgrade project.
Murex is one of the leading applications in the areas of global trading, risk management, and trade processing, using its cross-asset classes Front to Risk to Back in a setup with multiple production environments and grids and connections to many upstream and downstream systems.
Responsibilities:
• Provide program management capacity across Technical & Business Project streams.
• Develop enhanced methods and materials for the facilitation of senior governance meetings namely:
1. Senior management
2. Monthly project steering committees
3. Weekly project managers meetings.
• Provide capacity, support and guidance to create these materials and assist in the communication of same during sessions
• Provide support to lead response to actions arising from these meetings and provide capacity to incorporate findings into subsequent meetings
• Participate in key governance meetings noted above and provide feedback and guidance to facilitate successful delivery of Project
• Provide input to ongoing assessments on readiness of overall Project with respect to deployment, including technical delivery, organizational change management, and service readiness
• Provide support to track project progress against timeline and activities and highlight any risk and issues that will impact timeline
• Provide feedback on status reports
• Provide support to track project progress and issues of front office and all supporting units
• Provide proactive guidance on issues and risks to mitigate impact in advance
• Provide advice on management of timeline, deliverables and dependencies
• Provide support on managing the Dress Rehearsal and Go-Live runbook
• Provide support to track, identify the root cause and drive resolution of post live issues
• Provide Test management capability
• Provide direct management coverage over UAT, integration testing (SIT), and regression.
• Guide the bank to define overall test approach, including number and scope of individual phases
• Institute methodology to capture overall test case counts and facilitate mapping into consolidated test execution schedule. Drive execution of this schedule directly with business and technical stream leads
• Institute and execute methodology to manage test defects, inducing summaries to break out needed areas of focus for client management attention.
• Leverage existing client toolsets to produce status reports showing the progress through testing; Provide proactive guidance to client via these reports to mitigate roadblocks in completion
• Facilitate regular test status meetings to review test status and provide guidance in defect prioritization and forward test planning
• Aid Test Defect Triage and provide vendor management support
• Work with the bank to identify broad categories of test defects and identify role to contribute to defect triage.
• Provide guidance in triage of test defects.
• Review trends in test defects and suggest any alternative mechanisms as may be required to better facilitate end to end testing
• Use strong Murex competency to provide support to client in management of Murex as a software vendor
Mandatory Skills Description:
• 12 to 15 years of relevant experience
• Candidate should have good experience in large scale murex implementations
• Ability to publish and maintain concise project artefacts worthy for presentation at senior stakeholder governance meetings.
• Ability to use standard project management tools to ensure budgetary controls and ensure cost deviations to a minimum.
• Ability to host and moderate program calls with participation from various streams .
• Perform required due diligence for correct RAG tagging, ensuring issues are flagged on a timely basis and met with satisfactory resolution.
• Ability to prepare detailed Run Books and roll back plans.
