Job Description
- Design, implement, and manage SD-WAN solutions to meet business requirements and improve network performance
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess network needs, and develop SD-WAN strategies
- Configure and deploy SD-WAN appliances, routers, switches, and other networking equipment
- Monitor SD-WAN performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations for optimal throughput and reliability
- Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain SD-WAN security policies, including encryption, firewall rules, and intrusion detection/prevention
- Conduct network assessments and recommend enhancements to improve SD-WAN performance, scalability, and security
- Document network configurations, procedures, and best practices
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and network operations teams
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to SD-WAN and network engineering
- Negotiating of project task and schedules with internal PM or customer
- Escalation to Technical service manager or PM if required escalation
Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, VMware VCP-NV, or equivalent certifications preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on SD-WAN technologies
- Hands-on experience with SD-WAN platforms such as Cisco Viptela, VMware, or similar solutions
- Proficiency in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching, and VLANs
- Strong understanding of WAN technologies, including MPLS, VPN, and Internet circuits
- Experience with network security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
