Position Overview:
The Electronics Engineer is a specialist within EOS Defence Systems (EOS DS) and is responsible for applying routine systematic approaches in a team-based environment to solve problems using disciplined engineering techniques (e.g. mechanical, electronics, system, testing etc). The role is also responsible for applying knowledge to the development of products and designs that support the product development and product goals of EOS DS.
Primary Duties:
The Electronics Engineers carry out various engineering tasks, such as performing calculations to ensure our systems meet the global safety standards and collaborating with technicians and computer programmers to solve emerging issues. You’ll also research on manufacturing processes and analyse data and trends to create new products.
Ultimately, you will improve our company’s products and processes and contribute to its growth.
Responsibilities
· Acts as a technical lead/team member.
· Identifies technical challenges and provides innovative solutions, sharing knowledge with the team.
· Integrates business, market, industry, and competitive insights into adaptable technical solutions.
· Generates alternatives and takes calculated risks in solving technical problems.
· Produces detailed, high-quality technical documentation for design communication.
· Acquires knowledge of the defence industry, market trends, and competitive landscape.
· Evaluates challenging design trade-offs involving features, schedule, quality, and cost.
· Utilizes established tools and best practices for reporting and tracking product and process metrics.
· Challenges and improves project teams and work processes, finding creative methods to achieve desired performance levels.
· Proactively communicates developments or issues affecting work and commitments to others.
· Influences system or product redesigns to better align with organizational needs.
· Demonstrates broad understanding of various functional areas.
