They are looking for a Head of Legal.
Job Description
- This role reports to the CEO and functional reporting to Regional HQ, Legal
- Identifying, assessing, and mitigating legal risks across the firm's investment banking and asset management divisions.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and legal documents to protect the firm's interests and ensure compliance.
- Providing legal counsel on new business initiatives, products, and regulatory matters.
- Managing and resolving legal disputes.
The Successful Applicant
- Law degree from a recognized university with bar admission in at least one Commonwealth jurisdiction, including Singapore.
- Minimum of 10 years of legal experience in the financial industry, with a strong focus on capital markets, securities, or derivatives.
- In-depth knowledge of securities and financial advisory regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to translate complex legal issues into clear and actionable recommendations.
- Prior experience in prime brokerage or derivatives is a plus.
