About Our Client
Our client, a leading organization in the Education industry with a Strong IT team based in Singapore, is seeking an Infrastructure Architect. The ideal candidate will specialize in virtualization tools like Azure and AWS, and excel in managing stakeholders and driving business initiatives.
Job Description
- Stay Updated on Technology: Keep an eye on new technology trends and potential issues that could affect our systems. Recommend solutions or alternative actions when needed.
- Design and Implement Infrastructure: Plan, design, and enhance hybrid cloud infrastructure. Deploy tools to meet both operational and security needs.
- Optimize Infrastructure: Conduct capacity planning, analyze performance, and introduce improvements to our infrastructure and processes.
- Develop Architecture Plans: Create blueprints and roadmaps for infrastructure architecture. Ensure new systems fit seamlessly into our existing setup.
- Lead Technical Projects: Oversee technical projects, ensuring that our infrastructure evolves according to business needs and design changes.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work with project teams, users, and stakeholders to understand their IT challenges and provide the best technical solutions. Solutions will range from simple server setups to complex multi-tier systems, considering security, cost, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage Procurement: Plan and manage the procurement of services, hardware, and software, ensuring timely and successful purchases.
- Hands-On Technical Work: Be technically proficient and able to set up Proof of Concepts (POCs) and implement new technologies into production.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in IT with at least 12 years of related work experience.
- At least 10 years of experience as an infrastructure architect or technical lead, working on solutions and participating in infrastructure design and deployment projects.
- At least 4 years of experience leading and managing IT infrastructure projects at end-user environment.
- Strong understanding of operational and security frameworks and best practices like ITIL and ISO27001.
- Knowledgeable about various cloud platforms, networks, computing, storage, container management, security tools, observability platforms, automation tools, and cloud computing models and services.
- Technical expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Linux and/or Windows OS administration
- Security, automation, and operational tools related to systems, platforms, and databases
- VMware virtualization, public cloud administration, and containers
- IT Service Management (ITSM) and monitoring tools
