Main responsibilities
As a run specialist, you will be part of an international team focused on running and supporting the bank’s Interest Rate Derivative Back-Office Platform built around Summit, a software package from Finastra.
- Incidents and Requests and Incidents management (business users and others IT teams)
- Provide level 1 and 2 application support to the business users (E.g. back and middle office users…)
- Analyze and manage functional and technical incidents/problems/requests coming
- Application monitoring and deployment responsibilities
- Define and implement in coordination with the build team the needed application monitoring
- Supervise and monitor daily and monthly chains and handle user request by working closely with project, infrastructure and production teams
- Contribute to software releases and other planned activities (E.g. DRP…) to ensure good health and expected behavior of the applications
- Problem management and continuous improvement
- Prepare and maintain knowledge base for each of the application in the scope of the team in coordination with the build team and the ops team
- Collaborate with build team to assess the priority of the problem and follow-up the resolution, even contributing to the definition of long-term solution.
- Provide non-functional requirement to the build team to implement monitoring as code whenever available.
The Run analyst should have a pro-active mindset in security, incident preventive measures, productivity and global improvement of the quality of service. Candidate should have a strong appetite in the capital market functional business.
Qualifications and Profile
Key Skills
- Candidates should have ITIL certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge Microsoft Office (E.g. Excel / PowerPoint), incident management (E.g. Service Now) and other reporting tools
- Strong analytical or troubleshooting skills
- Good knowledge in Linux/Unix, Database (E.g. Sybase), PL/SQL, Middleware (E.g. MQ Series), File Transfer (E.g. CFT) and batch/Job Scheduling (Autosys/Control-M).
- ITRS Geneos monitoring
- Strong perseverance and diligence towards attaining goals and effective time management
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Autonomous, self motivated and excellent team player
- Self-starter and ambitious
- Willing to support release activity during weekend.
Other Professional Skills and Mindset
- General banking and finance understanding and knowledge
- Understanding of trade life cycle, financial products (E.g. IRD, Treasury, FX, Bonds, Credit…)
- Exposure to Capital Market FO/BO system (E.g. Kondor+, Summit, Murex…) and idealy Summit
- Proficient in software development life cycle and Devops concepts
- Autonomy to include implicit deliverables in assignment based on best practices
- Strong appetite to learn both functional and technical new domain
- Appetite to participate to technical market trends and communities
- Careful observance of standards and processes
- Strong sense of confidentiality
Education Requirements
- Intermediate level (minimum 4 to 7 years)
- Master’s degree in relevant specialties
