Scope of services to be provided by the personnel includes:
a) Installing, configuring, and maintaining SQL Server instances.
b) Knowledge in Microsoft SQL cluster for high availability.
c) Monitoring database performance issues, resource utilization, optimizing SQL queries, and system health.
d) Implementing security measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality.
e) Backing up and restoring databases to ensure data availability and disaster recovery.
f) Troubleshooting issues related to database performance, availability, and security.
g) Support, bug fixes, addressing vulnerability issues/fixes of existing systems.
h) Perform Microsoft SQL patches and updates for Azure SQL databases to address security vulnerabilities, bug fixes, and performance improvements.
i) Perform Database restore and refresh.
j) Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the Microsoft SQL setup which include networks, software, hardware, and operating systems.
k) Maintain documentation related to the Database environment, including configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guide and keep documentation up-to-date with any changes or enhancements.
l) Work closely with application developers to understand and address their requirements.
m) Implement scripting for routine maintenance, monitoring, and reporting.
n) Provide monthly work progress report records.
REQUIREMENTS
The personnel shall have:
a) A Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or relevant certification courses.
b) At least 5 years’ experience in Microsoft SQL Database Administrator.
c) Strong technical and analytical skills, meticulous and organized.
d) Experience in PeopleSoft and Azure Cloud would have an added advantage.
e) Good knowledge and experience in managing Windows operating systems would have an added advantage.
f) Good knowledge in PowerShell script would have an added advantage.
g) Good interpersonal, written, oral communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
h) A positive work attitude.
