As a Mainframe Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mainframe applications to meet business requirements. You will work with various technologies and tools, ensuring efficient and reliable application performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain COBOL programs in a mainframe environment.
- Utilize CICS for transaction processing to ensure efficient data handling.
- Manage and troubleshoot UNIX/Linux/AIX environments for application deployment and support.
- Implement and maintain VSAM file structures for data storage and retrieval.
- Analyze and resolve technical issues related to mainframe applications and environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Write and maintain JCL for batch job processing and scheduling.
- Handle file processing and report generation to support business operations.
- Interface with databases (DB2/Oracle) for data access and manipulation.
- Utilize CD and SSH for version control and secure remote access.
- Work with tools such as TWS (Tivoli Workload Scheduler) for job scheduling and management.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems.
- Proficiency in English communication (both written and verbal).
- Experience with COBOL programming.
- Familiarity with CICS for transaction processing.
- Proficient in Linux/Unix/AIX operating systems.
- Experience with VSAM for data management.
Good to Have Skills:
- Knowledge of JCL (Job Control Language) for batch processing.
- Experience in file handling and report generation.
- Familiarity with database systems (DB2/Oracle).
- Understanding of CD (Continuous Delivery) practices.
- Proficiency in SSH for secure access.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
