We're looking for a seasoned Java Tech Lead to join our team. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of designing and developing applications using Java Spring Boot and Apache Spark. You’ll lead a team of developers, mentor them, and work closely with other teams to deliver robust, high-performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Guide the design and architecture of Java-based applications, ensuring the team follows best practices in coding and security.
- Hands-on Development: Be actively involved in coding, especially with Java Spring Boot and Apache Spark, to set a high standard for quality.
- Mentorship: Support and mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure the team follows best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, QA, and other teams to gather requirements and deliver software on schedule.
- Performance Optimization: Focus on optimizing application performance, particularly with distributed systems like Spark.
- Continuous Improvement: Keep up with the latest tech trends and encourage the team to adopt new tools and practices.
- Agile Methodology: Engage in agile development, participating in sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience: 7+ years in Java development, with at least 3 years in a tech lead role.
- Java Expertise: Strong experience with Java and hands-on expertise in Java Spring Boot.
- Apache Spark: Solid experience with Apache Spark for big data processing.
- Microservices Architecture: Experience with microservices architecture, especially using Spring Boot.
- Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- DevOps Knowledge: Understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide practical solutions to complex issues.
- Communication Skills: Good communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to different audiences.
- Education: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
This is a long-term direct contract role.
