Senior Executive, Payroll

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In charge of the Payroll team and ensure timely and accurate payment of salary to all staff.
  • End-to-end processing of entities’ payroll.
  • Check & verify resignation computations.
  • Check & verify monthly payroll runs.
  • Check interco billings raised by team.
  • Check & verify CPF contribution before submissions.
  • Provide monthly OT reports to BU & HC separately.
  • Ensure financial postings to entities are correct and timely for statutory and management reporting.
  • Reconcile Payroll Clearing accounts.
  • Responsible to recover outstanding salary from ex-staff.
  • Verify & submit IR21/IR8A/App8A/App8B/IR8S.
  • Upload Benefit-in-Kind paid outside Payroll.
  • Liaise with government authorities (CPF Board and IRAS) on payroll issues.
  • Ensure changes in IRAS/CPF rules are updated accurately/timely in the system.
  • Processing of Government Paid Leave and NSmen Make-up Pay claims. Ensure claims are tracked and credited to Company.
  • Request breakdowns for government grants & provide cost ctr allocation to Finance.
  • Review and update Payroll policies and procedures to improve processes and controls and ensure compliance.
  • Propose system enhancements when new requirements arise or when gaps are detected.
  • Perform system UAT.
  • Attend to queries or payroll variances raised by staff or Business Units.
  • Handle queries on payroll from internal and external auditors.
  • Any ad-hoc assignments and projects.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Accountancy/ Finance or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Min. 3-5 years payroll experience in SAP environment.
  • Strong in financial accounting, internal control system and technically competent.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • A current Payroll practitioner with strong knowledge of Singapore Employment Act, MOM, CPF, IRAS and other relevant statutory legislations and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and strong computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to motivate and coach team members.
  • Highly motivated and task oriented.
  • Meticulous, mature and capable to function with minimal supervision.
