The Responsibilities

50%

  • Responsible for all necessary activities to upkeep the business transactions, such as but not limited to providing quote, accepting PO, coordinating with procurement & logistics and payment processing ect.
  • Oversee and manage commercial activities of Service Support Group, in order have seamless business transactions for supply of spares, providing services etc.
  • The commercial activities include but not limited to the development of conditions of contractor for projects, be it service, or upgrade or maintenance related. Discuss with the client and related stakeholders and bring to conclusion.
  • Lead commercial discussions internally with projects, legal, procurement and accounts team.
  • Work with banks, insurance, logistics companies and tax consultants to understand and cater to the needs of projects.
  • Communicate and build relationship with Client’s contacts, procurement team and other necessary stakeholders
  • Support the preparation & review quotations, PO, contracts etc. to client and to vendors.
  • Liaise with MHI Japan and other group companies to discuss the requirement, review prices, negotiate and discuss other strategies for pricing, sales terms & conditions, etc.
  • Responsible for organizing management approval meetings with MHIAP & MHI-GX solutions.

  • Responsible to work on business promotions, preparing promotional programs, materials and visits to clients for business promotion.
  • Take part in business development activities such as organizing the sales call, preparing service menu, discussing with clients and follow up.
  • Discussing with MHI-GX solutions for new business activities, new service menus and get necessary approvals.
  • Responsible for commercial issues for after sales and project including but not limited to collection of bill, invoicing, contract negotiation, preparation of commercial proposal, taxation & Insurance, legal terms & conditions etc.
  • Responsible for up-keep on any business license, registration and/or statutory permits needed for continuation of business in MHIAP or in other subsidiaries.
  • Responsible to lead preparations for business strategic meetings

  • Responsible for setting up work procedures and workflows within the business unit to increase efficiency and productivity of service business.
  • Responsible for upkeeping of all data generated during day to day work, such as cost data, vendor information, quote processed, PO received, yearly plans & targets etc.
  • Responsible for providing administrative assistance and development for all software, tools and export control procedures etc.
  • Assist with preparing monthly reports to MHI-japan & MHIAP management on Technical Service BU.
  • Assisting in Japanese communication to facilitate day to day activities with MHI-GX Solutions, vendors and clients.
  • Assisting in developing knowledge and proving training for various commercials aspects of business such as taxation, insurance, trade regulations, export control etc.


The Pre-Requisites

  • Minimum 5-8 years’ working experience for overseas assignment.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in working with Japanese organization.
  • Minimum 5 years’ sales experience in an international/local manufacturer, engineering company or trading company
  • Experience in commercial side of the business.
  • Must have proficiency in Japanese speaking and writing
  • General understanding for overseas construction project (permanent establishment, taxation, contract terms & conditions, etc.)
  • General understanding on business negotiation and EPC costing.
  • Fair knowledge on chemical plants and its construction.
  • High communication skills
  • Should have experience working with multi- nationals.
  • Good pleasant personality.
  • Open to International Travel
