Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled System Engineer to provide maintenance services for our customers, with a focus on Linux systems. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring the continuous operation, stability, and security of IT infrastructure across multiple customer environments. This role requires the ability to manage and respond to the support needs of different customers as they arise, delivering high-quality service and support. The position also requires 24x7 standby availability with a duty phone, rotating on a weekly basis among team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer System Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on Linux (RedHat) servers for multiple customers, including updates, patch management, and system tuning.
- Verify backup processes for various customer systems before working on it, ensuring in the unfortune event, the data or system can be restored.
- 24x7 Standby and Incident Response:
- Be available on a 24x7 standby basis with a duty phone, rotating weekly among team members.
- Respond promptly to support calls and emails from different customers, diagnosing and resolving issues to restore normal operations.
- Manage multiple customer incidents concurrently, ensuring timely and effective communication with each customer.
- Troubleshooting and Support:
- Provide technical support for complex system issues across multiple customer environments, collaborating with other teams as necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of customer incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions for future reference and to improve service delivery.
- Documentation:
- Create and update documentation related to customer system configurations, maintenance procedures, and incident management.
- Ensure all maintenance activities for customers are well-documented and accessible to the team.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
