Introduction to the role:
Our client’s mission is to build the world’s gaming community, with over 700 million people playing games, watching gaming videos, or engaging with gaming groups each month. We are seeking a Strategic Partnerships Manager (SPM) to develop, manage, and maintain relationships with key developer partners in the Greater China Region gaming industry. The SPM will play a crucial role within the APAC Gaming Partnerships team, supporting a range of strategic partners across key platforms. This role will help gaming partners optimize their presence and maximize their value from various platforms. The SPM will work directly with game developers and interface with internal stakeholders to provide support.
Responsibilities:
- Build and sustain long-term partnerships with prominent gaming companies by understanding their strategy and goals.
- Provide thought leadership and strategic insights in meetings with partner executives.
- Drive the adoption and integration of new features on gaming platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, design, marketing, and finance.
- Track, analyze, and communicate key metrics and business trends related to partner relationships.
- Use industry expertise to source and develop new partnership opportunities.
- Manage and advise existing partners on enhancing their success on the platform.
- Adapt to product changes and communicate these effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in business development or account management.
- BS/BA in a highly quantitative field, such as Economics or Business, or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of management.
- Experience defining, initiating, and driving business opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of the internet industry.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin
Preferred Qualifications:
- Deep knowledge of the gaming industry.
- Ability to handle operational tasks, structure, negotiate, and maintain complex strategic relationships with game companies.
- Ability to identify and leverage industry trends.
