Key Responsibilities:
· Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage the full spectrum of accounts payable and receivable functions, including payment processing, and reconciliations.
· General Ledger Management: Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
· Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulations.
· GST Compliance: Prepare and submit Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns in accordance with Singaporean regulations.
· Audit Preparation: Assist in the preparation and coordination of external audits, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
· Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing detailed analysis and variance reports.
· Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with local employment laws and tax regulations.
· Malaysia Accounting Requirements: Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards and regulations for any cross-border operations. Handle accounting tasks for Malaysia-based transactions.
· Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, including cost analysis, profitability analysis, and financial risk assessment.
· Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
· At least 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
· Strong knowledge of Singaporean and Malaysian accounting standards and regulations.
· Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
· Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Chinese to liase with internal stakeholders.
