Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will lead the specification team, focusing on providing product information to architects, interior designers, developers, and main contractors to specify our range of laminates for their projects. The role involves developing new business opportunities and enhancing brand awareness within the industry.
Main Functions:
- Product Information: Provide detailed information on our laminate products to assist architects and designers in specifying them and securing project sales.
- Business Development: Aggressively identify and develop new business opportunities, creating brand awareness within the interior design (ID) and architectural industries.
- Opportunity Sourcing: Explore additional business opportunities, such as flooring and veneers.
- Account Management: Strategically manage and grow long-term relationships with existing key accounts.
Essential Functions:
- Presentations: Conduct regular presentations of laminates to interior designers and architects.
- Client Engagement: Search for and visit developers, architectural firms, and design firms, ensuring consistent service to existing customers.
- Project Specifications: Secure specifications for projects in various segments including hospitality, retail, commercial, and residential.
- Project Tracking: Monitor and track upcoming projects to capitalize on new opportunities.
- Relationship Building: Maintain and foster relationships with both new and existing customers.
Requirements:
- Education: Minimum Diploma or Degree with 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Transportation: Must own a car and possess a valid Class 3 driving license.
- Experience: Preferably has previous sales experience in the building materials, construction, or paint industry.
- Skills:
- Independent, sales-driven, and self-motivated.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with individuals at various levels.
