Responsibilities:
- BIM Modelling and Design Coordination:
- Lead all BIM (Building Information Modeling) modelling works to enhance the technical capabilities of the team.
- Organize and plan design works to align with construction schedules and project milestones.
- Ensure all design deliverables, including drawings and documentation, meet standard requirements, specifications, and project scopes.
- Team Management:
- Provide leadership and manage team members professionally, including work allocation, drafting guidelines, and maintaining quality standards.
- Oversee the quality of work, improve productivity, and review drawings and cutting list profiles to ensure accuracy.
- Design Quality and Compliance:
- Ensure that all designs and deliverables adhere to the required standards and specifications.
- Identify any additional work or variations and report them to the Project Manager/Contract Manager for processing and approval of variation orders.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Facilitate coordination between the Design Team, Consultants, Main Contractors, and other contractors.
- Assist the site team in resolving site clashes and unforeseen interface problems throughout various design phases.
- Workshops and Review:
- Participate in workshops and lead the review of shop drawings, focusing on constructability, sequencing, and maintaining design quality.
- Manage the design change process to minimize impacts on the project schedule and costs.
- Issue Resolution:
- Address and resolve any unforeseen interface problems that arise during the design and construction phases.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in façade design.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Revit, Rhino, and BIM modelling.
- Strong understanding of design development and design management processes.
- Leadership and Management:
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate a team effectively.
- Strong organizational skills, with a focus on coordination and productivity.
- Additional Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve design and site interface issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
