The Project Engineer/Site Engineer is responsible for all project related matters for building construction works, steel works, A&A works, renovation works, etc
Scope Management:
- Responsible for all works related to building construction projects.
- Serve as the main person-in-charge for projects assigned by the Project Director.
Supervision and Quality Control:
- Supervise and inspect the work of subcontractors and internal teams.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with contractual specifications, quality standards, statutory compliance, client requirements, and safety regulations.
Internal Coordination:
- Liaise with internal team members, including the design team, drafters, Quantity Surveyors (QS), administrative staff, site supervisors, team leaders, and other project-related personnel.
Collaboration with Site Supervisors:
- Work closely with site supervisors on all project and technical matters.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare project documentation, including weekly and monthly reports, master schedules, micro task programs, methods of statement, construction sequences, hoisting plans, safe work procedures, risk assessments, and other technical documents.
External Coordination:
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution and address any issues that arise.
Project Planning and Tracking:
- Plan and track project progress, including site works, program schedules, and construction methods.
- Forecast equipment, material, and manpower requirements.
- Control usage and wastage to align with the project completion timeline.
Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical expertise and knowledge in foundation, structural, building, and steel works.
Additional Duties:
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of civil engineering project management / building construction in construction industry
- Excellent leadership, time management, analytical, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Organized, meticulous with positive work attitude
