Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Develop conceptual and detailed designs using current and relevant technologies.
- Conduct calculations related to marine and machinery systems, including sizing and pressure drops.
- Create basic and detailed design documents such as piping schematics, HVAC single-line diagrams, and HVAC double-line arrangements, adhering to Class, statutory, and owner requirements.
- Produce technical specifications for marine and machinery equipment.
- Evaluate marine and machinery equipment from a technical standpoint.
- Prepare detailed equipment layouts and ensure proper space coordination and integration with other disciplines.
- Collaborate with other design teams to ensure design integration.
- Work with owners, vendors, and external design institutes to address specific design requirements and development.
- Coordinate with Class Societies to confirm design requirements.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering or a related field with a focus on Basic Design.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering design for marine or offshore newbuildings.
- Knowledgeable about machinery, mechatronics, HVAC, and marine systems.
- Familiar with relevant rules, regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and AVEVA
