Job Responsibilities:
-Prepare and submit the Site Environmental Control Programme to the Project Manager of the construction site
-Ensure compliance of operations with Environmental Control regulations and statutory requirements
-Conduct Workplace Environmental Control audits and incident investigations
-Compile all relevant reports and carry out routine Environmental Control inspections
-Coordinate and correspond with external agencies, MOM, NEA, etc. on WSH-related matters
-Assist Site Safety manager and officer in the implementation of the Environmental Control management system
-Perform regular safety inspections to look out for conditions/situations in construction site that causes safety, health, and environmental problems
-Conduct Environmental Health and Safety Orientation training to new employees/workers.
-Conducted WSH Talks and coordinated internal training courses relating to WSH to promote WSH awareness.
-To look out for conditions/situations in construction site that causes safety, health, and environmental problems
-Assist in organizing the WSH Campaign and other promotional activities and conduct emergency evacuation exercises
-Assist the company in workplace accident investigation and reports in accordance with the requirement under the WSH Act
-Maintain, update, and retain relevant records and certificates as required under the regulation required by the authorities, preparation, and submission reports to authorities if required
Job Requirements:
-Must be certified and registered ECO with NEA
-Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Post Graduate Diploma, ------Professional Degree in Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent
-Must be a qualified and competent Environmental Manager who has a minimum of 10 years relevant experience, with recognized and approved certifications from MOM, and a good track record with construction works of the same complexity character, and size as that of the works to take charge of all matters related to environmental who shall be continuously in charge of the safety on site and the works throughout the current of the contract up to the satisfaction and requirement of Employer or Employers’ representative.
