Description
Leads and controls the workmen to carry out task for the erection, levelling and alignment of plant equipment in the petrochemical/ chemical plant facilities etc.
Responsibilities
- To lead and control the workmen to carry out task for the erection, levelling and alignment of plant equipment’s in the Petrochemical/ Chemical Plant facilities.
- To lead and control the workmen to carry out task for the maintenance and repair of the rotating and static equipment.
- To establish priorities, monitor progress, revise schedules and resolve issues to accomplish work results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring and appraising job results, policies, and procedures.
- To organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules and be responsible for leading, supervising and managing team’s daily output targets and productivity to meet quality and delivery schedule.
- To perform quality control inspection on parts receiving, in-process and final process inspection on the assigned works.
- To maintain safe and clean work environment by coaching and directing personnel on the use of all equipment and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures
- To assist the Engineers in planning and scheduling for the assigned works.
- To assist the Engineers or Superintendents to perform cost estimation on repair works.
- To assist to prepare method statement for equipment erection works.
- To conduct daily safety toolbox talks or safety-related talks, TSTI.
- To liaise with Client’s Representative on work matters and permit to work issues.
- To resolve personnel problems by analysing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions and recommending action(s).
- To take on additional appointments from time-to-time assigned by the company’s Authorised Officer, and carry out the duties of such appointment duly and diligently to enhance the company’s image and to improve the company’s business opportunities.
Requirements
- Preferably with minimum Secondary Education
- NTC3 in mechanical fitting is an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Oil and Gas or related industries, in foreman or supervisory level is preferred
- Ability to read and understand instruction manuals, equipment assembly drawings, parts drawings.
