We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Technical Support Specialist with a strong background in Electron Microscopes to join our team. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will lead efforts in providing technical assistance and support to our FSEs worldwide in the electronics business. This position requires extensive travel, with approximately 80% of the time spent on-site at customer locations.
Main Responsibilities
- Global/Regional 2nd technical support for Electron Microscopes for 1st level Field Service Engineer
- Hotline support
- Remote controlled dianostic
- On-site support
- Failure analysis of complex problems
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware & software issues related to Electron Microscope systems in the electronic/Semi-Con business
- Technical co-ordination of Field Service Engineers in the field
- Co-ordination with factory support, quality, and R&D
Key Requirements
- Master's degree in a relevant scientific or technical field (eg: Physics, Chemistry, Engineering) would be preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working with Electron Microscope systems in a technical support capacity
- Knowledge in sample preparation and application are preferable
- Knowledge in electron optics and vacuum technology are preferable
- Excellent electronic knowledge
- Strong intercultural communication skills
- Willing and able to travel extensively (80% of time) to customer site world-wide for technical support
