The primary purpose of this role is to lead and manage the Design Studio for Asia out of the Singapore studio, to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, aligned to the client's brief and meet internal budgets.
You will be responsible for profitability of the business including winning new clients, maintaining existing client relationships as well as all the design excellence, leadership, culture, resourcing and development of the Design team.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Design & Insight
- Provide concept direction and project design review with designers — to ensure project goals are being met, and design excellence is being achieved for all work from the Singapore office and the Asia-Pacific region.
- Conduct client presentations & high-level project design communication
- Produce design work that can be worthy of portfolio-building, publications, and awards in the region.
Work Winning
- Develop new business and drive ongoing and long-term partnerships that deliver required annual revenue, profit and growth targets across the region.
- Contribute to and drive submissions and marketing plans which target new and existing clients.
- Play a lead role in developing and presenting at pitches to prospective clients.

The successful candidate will have extensive commercial interior design business leadership across Asia as well as:
- Degree level qualification in Interior Design or Architecture
- High-level consulting and client management skills.
- Expert industry awareness with sound sector experience.
- Experienced practitioner with direct client relationship / project leadership roles
- Leadership and work-winning ability.
- Strong people manager, coach and mentor.
- Expert design knowledge and an appreciation of creativity and innovation.
