We are looking to hire an experienced IT engineer to manage our company’s RAN Transport Network. Your role as an IP Planning Principal Engineer is to be responsible for IP planning, network solution design, network service provisioning, network security enforcement, software upgrade and capacity planning.
To ensure success as the designated appointment, you should have extensive experience in the job description as well as meeting the job requirements stated below.
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Meeting the objectives expected of the IP RAN and Security Planning team.
2. Managing the IP RAN transport network to support all cellular radio access network including the 5G network
3. Designing and implementing system configurations to meet customer service and security requirements.
4. Planning for software and networking systems upgrade.
5. Planning for high-level software security upgrade.
6. Responding to general IP Transport Network provisioning requests.
7. Training staff on newly installed hardware and software systems.
8. Troubleshooting network and software issues.
9. Fixing hardware, software, and networking issues.
10. Ensuring security software is up to date.
11. Generating monthly PKI reports for the team manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or Information Technology or its equivalent
2. Qualification in Juniper or Cisco Network Certified training on Routing/Switching and Security will be preferred
3. Qualification in Cyber Security Certified training will be preferred
4. Extensive knowledge of mobile backhaul transport systems
5. Knowledge in the OSI Layers Architecture and Standardisation is mandatory
6. Familiarity with general OS systems, Enterprise, programming languages, and Office software and experience in any OS platform programming will be an advantage
7. Experience working with Firewall, AAA server, WiFi, Security Gateway and Certificate Management System will be an advantage
8. Experience working with SIEM/SOAR and Identity Access Management will be an advantage
9. Experience working with any Cybersecurity governance project (eg Risk Assessment, Vulnerability Assessment, Pen Testing, security hardening, etc) will be an advantage
10. Experience in network monitoring tools like Wireshark is an advantage
