Job Description
This role is the technical lead for our partners across Asean including Singapore. Given all our solutions are sold and delivered through our partners, this role is core to our on-going success in the South Asia markets.
Supporting our partners as they secure their customers in their new multi-cloud reality. Education, advocacy and technical mentoring are all watchwords of this role and you will be performing all of these types of activities and more on a daily basis.
Grow our Security business in customers from SME to enterprise and government across South Asia by helping our partners differentiate and develop their offerings in a competitive and rapidly transforming world.
Most of your time will be spent presenting solutions and delivering product demonstrations, supporting our partners as they pitch to prospective and current clients. Success will be dependent on your ability to demonstrate how our solutions provide direct value to their business and technical requirements.
With your extensive understanding of how to secure Windows and Linux servers and endpoints (and maybe even Macs too!), you will spend time leading discussions on how to improve the security posture, effectively respond to ransomware and other attack and help our partners as they compete to win the hearts and minds of their prospective customers.
We would love to see you have some background in penetration testing, red/blue team activity, have a profile as a security specialist and if you had some certifications to back that up even better! We ask for this because you will become our security advocate to the reseller and service provider community and if you already have some exposure in this space, it will make your role even easier to perform.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Skills and Experience:
- Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant discipline
- Good knowledge of Security Design Architecture, OSI model, TCP/IP model, Network Security and Protocols
- Experience in security technologies, including firewall and IPS
- At least 10 years experience in the IT Security domain, in a technical role
- Understanding of and ability to apply the relevant and effective solutions to address customer needs
- Previous presales experience or certification would be recommended for this role
- Be meticulous, mindfulness and follow-up
- Be initiative-taking, willing to learn, result-oriented, independent with good attitude
- Possess ambitious attitude and enjoy working in a fast paced, dynamic industry
- Previous experience in distribution environment supporting reseller market would be highly recommended.
