Seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant System Engineer to join our the team. In this role, you will support the infrastructure, network, implementation, and maintenance of complex systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. You will work closely with senior engineers to contribute to various projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site integrated systems management support.
- Liaise with stakeholders and manage system KPIs and SLAs.
- Ensure systems comply with standards, policies, and governance requirements.
- Prepare for and support independent audits; manage compliance declarations.
- Review and implement policy changes with the Authority.
- Develop and maintain the Project Security Management Plan; address security vulnerabilities.
- Maintain and update asset inventory, including hardware and software.
- Investigate and resolve system and infrastructure issues.
- Support integrated logistics, including publication, spare parts, and competency management.
- Oversee obsolescence management and drive digital transformation in operational efficiency, governance, and cybersecurity.
- Enhance customer experience and satisfaction.
- Manage technology refresh for systems.
- Degree in IT or related field with 5+ years of experience managing IT infrastructure projects in large-scale environments.
- Expertise in system and network troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server OS, Linux OS, virtualization (Nutanix), VPN, firewalls, load balancers, network switches/routers, network monitoring (e.g., Solarwinds), data protection (e.g., Veritas), vulnerability assessment (e.g., Nessus), and identity/access management (e.g., CyberArk).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and incident management skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and vendor management skills.
- Effective communicator with strong writing abilities.
- Experience in team collaboration and working with third-party services.
