Challenges:
- Oversee and manage the financial operations of three day surgery centres, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial activities.
- Handle General Ledger (GL) management, including month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Coordinate and lead internal and external audits, ensuring all financial records are in compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
- Manage the preparation and submission of Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns, ensuring timely and accurate filings.
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, and other necessary documentation for review by senior management.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for the surgery centers.
- Ensure effective cash flow management and monitor the financial performance of the centers.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the assets and integrity of financial records.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as required.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making processes.
- Supervise and mentor the finance team, ensuring continuous development and high performance.
What it Takes:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with a strong background in handling General Ledger, audits, GST, and related financial activities.
- Proven experience in managing finances for healthcare or similar industries, particularly in multi-site operations.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Relevant qualifications in finance, accounting, or a related field
