Tasks and Responsibilities
- Work closely with vessel owner, classification society and external designers on design requirement and technical solutions
- Responsible for leading a team of designers to deliver conceptual and basic designs
- Provide coaching through specifically designed training programs to ensure the design team’s capability
- Perform calculations for speed performance prediction, scantling assessments, weight distribution, stability and hydrostatic calculations, and launching calculations
- Responsible for the delivery of project design drawings and documents
Job Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field
- At least 15 years of work experience in the marine & offshore industry in relation to hull and structural discipline
- Familiar with GHS/NAPA/FEMAP/Autocad/MS office
- Good leadership, communication and analytical skills
