Job Title: Cashier

Job Summary: As a Cashier at the Retail Chain, you will play a key role in delivering a positive shopping experience for our customers. You will handle transactions, assist with customer inquiries, and ensure the checkout process is smooth and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide assistance as needed to enhance their shopping experience.
- Transaction Processing: Accurately handle cash, credit, and debit transactions using a register or point-of-sale (POS) system. Process returns and exchanges according to store policies.
- Sales and Promotions: Inform customers about ongoing promotions, discounts, and store policies to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
- Product Handling: Scan items, bag purchases, and ensure that all items are correctly priced and accounted for.
- Inventory Management: Assist with stocking shelves, checking for product availability, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.
- Compliance: Adhere to store policies and procedures, including those related to security and loss prevention.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train motivated candidates.
- Skills: Strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Ability to handle cash and operate a POS system.
- Customer Service: Friendly, approachable, and committed to providing exceptional customer service.
- Flexibility: Ability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods
