Main responsibilities: -
- Cost Evaluation: Review on estimators’ quotations for ship repair and conversion projects prior submission to clients, taking into account materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the project
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with the project and develop strategies to mitigate them, including insurance coverage and risk-sharing agreements
- Budget Management: Manage the project's financial aspects, including budget development, monitoring, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle
- Profitability Analysis: Analyze project profitability, margins, and financial performance to ensure that the project meets or exceeds financial targets
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns while ensuring contractual compliance
- Legal Compliance: Ensure that all contractual and legal requirements are met, including permits, licenses, and environmental regulations
- Contract Compliance: Ensure that all project activities align with the terms and conditions specified in contracts and agreements
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports and forecasts, providing regular updates to senior management on project financial status and performance
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify business development opportunities and potential risks
- Project Closure: Facilitate the smooth closure of projects, including final invoicing, client acceptance, and lessons learned documentation
- Dispute Resolution: Mediate and resolve disputes, claims, or conflicts that may arise during the course of the project.
Requirement:
- Minimum University Degree from a recognized tertiary institution
- At least 15 years of experience in the marine & offshore industry
- At least 8 years of experience in Ship Repair business
- At least 5 years in Managerial capacity
