Objectives
- Act as a trusted business partner to the global business team to provide reliable data for management decision-making
- Ensure data quality and timely submission, in which useful information can be analyzed effectively
- Develop and implement an improvement process to enhance operational efficiency
- Provide functional guidance to internal stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Together with Sales, Business Development, Marketing, and Production Controlling, you will prepare, coordinate, and communicate reports on operational developments.
- By preparing analyses and scenarios, you will keep an eye on primarily fixed costs in the areas of Operations, R&D, and SG&A and the capital structure for our global business which is spread over the Americas, Europe, and Asia. You will advise the global business management as well as the operating units on any business management issues in the aforementioned areas.
- You will be responsible for the operational planning processes for global Operations, R&D and SG&A
- Together with Regional Controlling of our business, you will drive innovation in the fields of business steering and reporting including the design and roll-out of new tools to the global user community. Sharing of best practices with other controlling units is an integral part of your work.
- Keep close communication with regional/site controllers to improve cost transparency and efficiency.
- Running business cases for investment and optimization projects completes your area of responsibility.
- Responsible for enforcing financial Policies, Procedures & Guidelines, and compliance with Internal Control Effectiveness.
- Responsible for internal and external Audits.
- Responsible for Training, Education & Support on controlling topics.
- Accountable for initiating & implementing global business-specific controlling Systems & Tools and Projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Controlling, Accounting, or Business Administration
- At least 10 years of professional experience in business and operations controlling with a focus on profitability evaluation and strong exposure to fixed costs, cost accounting and profit & loss.
- Experience to handle global project management
- Experience to manage CAPEX and OPEX to align operational needs with business strategies
- Comfortable working within matrix organization
- Strong financial modelling and evaluation skills
- Profound knowledge of reporting, cost, and profit accounting as well as cost centre controlling
- Confident handling of all MS Office applications and SAP R/3 COBALT plus expert knowledge in Alteryx, tableau, and reporting systems (i.e., Ocean, COBUS, CO-PC, COINS).
- Team player with a responsible and business-oriented way of working deep awareness of compliance and organizational issues
